Samarco Mineração S.A. Acquires HMSWeb License
In April, Samarco Mineração S.A. signed a contract with Forship involving the commissioning information management solution, which consists of the right to use the HMSWeb in the Third Pelletizing (Terceira Pelotização) project, as well as the tool administration and operation services.
Through this contract, Forship has signed another contract involving consultancy, and a third one is under negotiation, which will involve development of commissioning procedures. Thus, Forship expands its field of work and begins operating in the mining industry.
Currently, four collaborators are already allocated for the Samarco project: Victor Lattari and Diogo Silva working as HMSWeb administrators, in Belo Horizonte; and Sandercley, Vitória Dantas and Fábio Guedes working as HMSWeb operators, initially in Belo Horizonte, preparing themselves to work at Germano plant (Minas Gerais) and Ubu plant (Espírito Santo), respectively.
According to the contract manager, Carla Bergamini, Forship expects to sign a contract involving development of procedures, as well as other opportunities that may arise for commissioning in the field. “Commissioning in this project is being considered as a model for Cia. Vale do Rio Doce, shareholder (50%) of Samarco, and it will be a great opportunity for Forship to show its potential and establish a partnership with this big company”, stated Carla.
